If home try on is free, why are you asking for my credit card number?

Our Home Try-On program is FREE! Always have and always will be. We ask for your credit card or valid debit card number during the check-out process in order to complete your Home Try On program order for 2 reasons:

1) security purposes

2) accidental damages.

If you return your Home Try On the same way you received them, there’s absolutely nothing to worry about!

The ONLY exception: please keep in mind!

We will only charge the card on file for our full retail price without prescription lenses.

  1. If you do not return your home try on when your 5 days are up
  2. If the frames come back damaged or missing

To avoid these charges please have your Home Try On postmarked (meaning on its way back to us) by the 5th full day after delivery. If you need help, let us know!

MY PRESCRIPTION

How do I submit my prescription to you?

There are a couple ways you can send us your prescription! Simply scan it and email it or take a photo and email it to us directly from your phone. You can use the app Kakotalk. You can call us and we’ll figure out the best way for you to send it in!

Where/How do I obtain a prescription?

Make an appointment to see your local optometrist and be sure to ask your doctor to include your pupillary distance (PD) on your prescription.

Find near me: https://www.zocdoc.com/eye-doctors

What is pupillary distance (PD) and how do I get mine?

PD stands for Pupillary Distance, it’s the measurement (distance) between the center of one pupil to the center of the other (in millimeters). Your optometrist should have this on your prescription, if not no worries you can measure + figure out your distance here.
1. Stand 8 in. away from the mirror.

2. With your face straight, hold the ruler against your brow.

3. Close your right eye and align the ruler’s zero to the center of your left pupil.

4. While looking straight, open your right eye and read the mm line that lines up with the center of your right pupil.

5. Measure your PD 3-4 times to assure it is accurate and consistent.
* An average PD for an adult ranges between 57 and 65 mm.
* Additional Tip: Another great way to get your PD measurement is with a help from a friend. 1) Enlist your favorite person 2) Grab a ruler and place it right on top of your eyebrow 3) Take a photo 4) measure your PD of the photo.
That’s it! It’s a super simple method that helps you get a really precise measurement.

I have my contact lens prescription, could I use that for my glasses prescription?

It’s apples and oranges! They’re two completely different prescriptions that do two completely different things. We don’t recommend it.

LENSES

What is the difference between single- vision and progressive lenses?

Single vision lenses offer one correction throughout the entire lens (usually for distance or reading). Progressive lenses offer multiple focal corrections in one lens, you can see your whole field of vision without switching between multiple pairs of glasses.

Do you offer bifocal lenses?

If you have a prescription from your doctor for bifocal lenses please give us a call!

I have glasses and broken lenses, could you replace them?

Sorry but we cannot replace lenses at this time. However, someone on our wonderful customer service team is happy to assist and help you to find the perfect pair of glasses from our site if you need help selecting which frame is best for you.

Can I buy the lenses alone?

Sorry, we do not offer lenses alone.

How often should I clean my glasses + how?

Your glasses will come with a case and cleaning cloth, for day to day care you can use the cloth to wipe away any visible smudges make sure to always place your glasses in the case when you’re not using it. This will keep it safe and clean!

Once in a while when you have a little extra time, we suggest giving your glasses a deep clean. Mix dish soap and water in a bowl. Please be VERY careful not to use HOT water – using hot water will cause damage to your lenses!! Cracks or bubbles could develop when exposed to high heat so please be careful and avoid using hot water on your lenses at all cost.

Take your cloth and give it a good soak in the soap and water mix then give your frame and lenses a thorough cleaning.

FRAMES

Where can I find my frame’s measurements?

Most have these numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm. On each product page, the frame measurements are listed as three numbers in the description.

Can I just purchase the frame only?

You bet! During the lens selection process, choose “frame only” which will come with non-prescription lenses at no extra charge.

Where are your products made?

We select our frames from all over the world and we make our lenses and finished them in our lab located in Southern California.
